Quick and easy to make, this bunny bait is the perfect treat to serve this Easter. This sweet snack mix takes minutes to make and is a tasty way to add some color to your festivities.
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Set aside.
Add both kinds of cereal, the M&M’s, peanuts, and pretzel sticks to a large bowl and toss to combine. Set aside.
3 cups Very Berry Cheerios cereal, 3 cups Blueberry Cheerios cereal, 10 ounces Easter M&M’s candies, 2 cups dry roasted lightly-salted peanuts, 1 cup mini pretzel sticks
In a small microwave-safe bowl, add the white chocolate chips and coconut oil. Heat, stirring well every 30 seconds, until melted and smooth.
12 ounces white chocolate chips, 1 tablespoon coconut oil
Pour the melted chocolate over the cereal mixture and stir quickly but gently to combine.
Spread the snack mix out on the baking sheet and top with sprinkles and glitter if desired. Allow to set for 20 minutes or until the chocolate hardens.
Break into pieces and enjoy!
¼ cup pastel-colored sprinkles, Edible glitter
Notes
Take care not to burn the chocolate when you melt it. Heat it in increments in the microwave, or melt it on the stovetop in a double boiler.
Place the chocolate-covered mix on a parchment-lined baking sheet. If you don't line it, it will be very tricky to remove!
Let the chocolate fully set before enjoying.
Storage: Store bunny bait in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 1 week or in the freezer for up to 1 month.
