Hi, I’m Becky Hardin — St. Louis-based food blogger, recipe developer, and founder of Easy Dessert Recipes. I’ve spent over a decade creating recipes that make home cooking feel approachable, and dessert has always been where my heart is.
Why Dessert
I started blogging in 2012 because I was genuinely intimidated by my own kitchen. Learning to cook — and eventually bake — changed everything for me. Dessert, in particular, has a way of turning an ordinary night into something worth remembering. After building The Cookie Rookie into one of the most-read food blogs in the country and founding Easy Chicken Recipes in 2018, I knew I wanted a dedicated space for the sweet stuff. Easy Dessert Recipes launched in 2020 with one mission: make dessert feel achievable for everyone, not just experienced bakers.

I’ve been featured on the Hallmark Channel’s Home and Family, and in publications including the Today Show, People Magazine, Taste of Home, The Kitchn, Feast Magazine, and Better Homes & Gardens. That experience shapes how I approach every recipe — it has to work the first time, in your kitchen, with ingredients you can find at any grocery store.
Today, I lead a dedicated team of recipe developers and editors who share that same standard. Every recipe goes through multiple rounds of testing before it ever reaches you.

Her love of food first flourished while working on an organic vegetable farm, where she realized how fun and flavorful fresh veggies could be.
