This Instant Pot apple crisp is one of the easiest and most delicious recipes I make in the fall! It’s rich with fresh apples, pumpkin pie spice, maple syrup, and more. I love making apple crisp in my pressure cooker since it takes about half as much time– perfect for when I need something sweet ASAP.
This Instant Pot apple crisp is a total breeze! It’s made with just 9 ingredients and ready to eat in 30 minutes. It tastes just as good as oven-baked apple crisp in less time! The rich autumnal flavors, the crispy oats, and the soft apples all come together to create a truly perfect apple crisp.
What’s in This Instant Pot Apple Crisp Recipe?
- Apples: I love using Fuji apples for this recipe! However, Honeycrisp apples also work very well. If you want a more tart flavor, opt for green Granny Smith apples to really add a sour note.
- Lemon Juice: Helps prevent the apples from browning.
- Pumpkin Pie Spice: Adds warmth to the apples. Apple pie spice also works well, but I found that pumpkin pie spice tasted best in this recipe.
- Butter: Unsalted butter adds moisture to the crisp topping and helps bind it together.
- Sugar: A combination of granulated and brown sugars sweeten the crisp topping.
- Oats: Old-fashioned oats add an oaty flavor and a chewy texture to the topping.
- Flour: All-purpose flour helps give the topping structure.
- Maple Syrup: Adds an extra touch of sweetness.

How to Store and Reheat
In an airtight container in the refrigerator, this Instant Pot apple crisp will stay fresh for about 2 days. You can enjoy it chilled, at room temperature, or reheated with a scoop of ice cream.
Tips for Success
- You can use a 6-inch springform pan, ramekin, or a round baking dish. As long as it’s appropriately sized to fit in the Instant Pot, it’ll work just fine.
- If you want even more fall flavor, add a few pinches of cinnamon and nutmeg on top of your apple crisp just before serving.
- When picking a maple syrup, try to find an authentic bottle that has real maple flavor. That super sticky sweet factory-made stuff won’t have as much flavor.
- Be sure to follow the specific Instant Pot instructions for the best results!
