My brownie fruit pizza recipe is the easiest dessert for summer holidays, potlucks, and BBQs! I made this dessert pizza with a chocolate-y brownie mix crust and a simple cream cheese frosting, then topped it with tons of fresh fruit. It’s a totally fuss-free dessert that comes together quickly, and I never have leftovers after the party!

Brownie Mix Dessert Pizza Topped with Fresh Fruit and Cream Cheese Frosting
You can do a lot with a box of brownie mix, and this dessert pizza is the perfect example! I usually use it for brownie mix cookies, but this fruit-topped brownie pizza is a great option for summer occasions. I almost always make this when I’m headed to a Memorial Day or 4th of July party.
The brownie “pizza crust” is foolproof when starting with a mix, and it comes out wonderfully rich and chocolate-y. I love to whip up a cream cheese frosting for the “sauce”, but just about any frosting works here. Topping the pizza with tons of fresh fruit is the easiest part of all, but it does the most to make this dessert look impressive enough for any crowd.

Brownie Fruit Pizza Recipe
Equipment
- 9-inch Springform Pan or 9-inch Cake Pan
- Hand Mixer
Ingredients
For the Brownie Crust:
- 18 ounces brownie mix 1 box; Ghirardelli recommended*
- ¼ cup water
- ⅓ cup vegetable oil
- 1 large egg
For the Frosting:**
- 8 ounces cream cheese 1 brick; room temperature
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon lemon juice
- ¾ teaspoon pure vanilla extract
- ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
Toppings:
- 1½ cups fresh mixed berries (I used strawberries, blueberries, and raspberries)***
- ½ cup freshly sliced and peeled kiwi optional***
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F. Prepare a 9-inch pan by spraying it with nonstick spray. Set aside
- Prepare the brownie batter according to package instructions. Spread the batter into the prepared springform pan, and bake according to package directions.18 ounces brownie mix, ¼ cup water, ⅓ cup vegetable oil, 1 large egg
- While the brownies bake, use a hand mixer to beat together the cream cheese, powdered sugar, lemon juice, vanilla extract, and cinnamon. Beat until light and fluffy, about 5-7 minutes.8 ounces cream cheese, 1 cup powdered sugar, 1 teaspoon lemon juice, ¾ teaspoon pure vanilla extract, ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
- Take the brownies out of the oven and set aside. Make sure the brownie is completely cooled before frosting.
- Frost brownie pizza with cream cheese frosting and top with strawberries, blueberries, kiwi, and raspberries.1½ cups fresh mixed berries, ½ cup freshly sliced and peeled kiwi
- Refrigerate for 30 minutes before serving. Slice, plate and enjoy.
Notes
- If you’re making this brownie dessert for Memorial Day or 4th of July, make it patriotic with a mix of blueberries and strawberries!
- I recommend beating the cream cheese mixture for 5-7 minutes so that it is light and fluffy. If you simply combine, it can be dense and heavy.
- For an extra twist, drizzle some caramel sauce on top to serve (or give people the option to use it on their slice).
Dessert Pizza Toppings
I love using fresh fruit as my brownie pizza topping, but there are so many ways to change things up.
- Use any fruit you like — including strawberries, sliced bananas, pitted cherries, mandarin slices, etc.
- Instead of the included cream cheese frosting, use hazelnut spread, peanut butter, stabilized whipped cream, or chocolate.
- Finish the dessert pizza with a drizzle of butterscotch sauce, chocolate syrup, or a fruit glaze.
- Top with chocolate chips, nuts, cookie dough bites, sprinkles, Reese’s pieces, or your favorite candy.
How to Store
This brownie pizza is best enjoyed within a few hours of making it. If it sits for too long, the cream cheese frosting and juicy berries may start to weep. So once you’ve assembled it, leave it in the refrigerator until you’re ready to serve it. I recommend serving it within 4 hours for the best results.
However, you can store each part separately, then assemble just before serving. I recommend keeping the brownie crust at room temp and refrigerating the cream cheese and fruits separately.
