This quick and easy chocolate fruit dip is one of my favorite ways to turn snack time into something special. It’s light, fluffy, sweet, and just chocolaty enough to feel like a treat without being over the top. Made with cream cheese, Cool Whip, and Greek yogurt, this no bake chocolate dessert dip gets everyone at the table excited to eat more fruit (yes, even the kids!).

No Bake Cream Cheese Chocolate Dessert Dip
I used to grab those store-bought fruit dips in a pinch, but one glance at the ingredient list made me want to try something better. My homemade chocolate fruit dip uses simple, familiar ingredients like brick-style cream cheese, vanilla Greek yogurt, and whipped topping. Cocoa powder and chocolate syrup bring that rich chocolate flavor, while a splash of maple syrup and a dash of cinnamon take it to the next level.
The result is a chocolate cream cheese dip that’s creamy, crave-able, and surprisingly easy to make. We love it with strawberries, bananas, and apple slices, but I’ve also caught a few family members sneaking spoonfuls straight from the fridge.

- 8 ounces cream cheese room temperature (1 brick)*
- 2 cups whipped topping such as Cool Whip
- ½ cup vanilla Greek yogurt
- ⅓ cup chocolate syrup
- ¼ cup powdered sugar
- 2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder **
- ½ tablespoon lemon juice
- ½ tablespoon maple syrup
- ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
Instructions

- Mix in the chocolate syrup, powdered sugar, unsweetened cocoa powder, lemon juice, maple syrup, and cinnamon and beat for 1 additional minute until thoroughly combined.⅓ cup chocolate syrup, ¼ cup powdered sugar, 2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder, ½ tablespoon lemon juice, ½ tablespoon maple syrup, ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
- Transfer to a dipping bowl and serve immediately or refrigerate.
Notes
- This dip is great as is, but I like to add chocolate jimmies to mine for a little crunch. Some chopped walnuts or pecans would also be yummy. Or decorate it with festive colored sprinkles for different holidays and occasions.
- This dip is also great with sweet crackers, cookies, or even slathered on toast.
Use Softened Cream Cheese
To get that perfectly smooth and creamy texture, make sure your cream cheese is fully softened before mixing. Cold cream cheese can leave stubborn lumps that won’t beat out easily. I like to leave it at room temperature for about 30-60 minutes, or gently microwave it in 10-second intervals until soft. It makes a huge difference in how your chocolate Cool Whip dip turns out.
How to Store
Store leftover chocolate fruit dip in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days. Enjoy chilled or at room temperature.
