What’s in This Rice Krispie Treat Monsters Recipe?
- Rice Krispie Treats: I made this recipe simple with store-bought treats. Homemade also work well but may be more difficult to work with.
- Candy Melts: Choose a variety of colors to dip the treats in. I used blue, green, and orange, but any colors will work.
- Colored Sprinkles: Match them to the candy melts for a polished look.
- Candy Eyes: Add fun and whimsy to these treats. I like to get a variety of sizes.

How to Store
Store leftover Rice Krispie treat monsters in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 5 days.
Tips for Success
- Make sure to stir the chocolate well between melting it in the microwave. The chocolate can burn quickly so watch it carefully.
- You can drizzle any leftover melted chocolate over the Rice Krispies to make them extra festive.
- For serving at a party, I like to stick a straw into the bottom of each treat to create a cake pop look.
